New Partnership between Adair County Schools and Cumberland Family Medical Center Inc. Annouced

Adair County Schools and Cumberland Family Medical Center, Inc. are pleased to offer a new system of expanded health care in our local schools for the 2015-2016 school year.  Along with the regular school nurse program, the addition of a Family Nurse Practitioner will allow for a high level of care within the school setting.  The Family Nurse Practitioner, Tiffany McMinoway, will be available during school hours on a rotational basis through our schools to provide preventative services such as well child exams and immunizations along with acute care visits.  Parents will have the option of allowing their student to be seen at school in the Healthy Kids Clinic in an efforts to provide more complete and prompt care, reduce time out of class for appointments, and increase academic opportunity.

The three man Fabrication Team which consisted of Josh Grant, Dusty Claiborne, and Chad Scholl could not have made the district more proud with their 7th place finish. It is a true accomplishment considering they have only been in their facility since Christmas. The young men are hoping to find themselves at Nationals again next year, and we all have high hopes for them doing even better, their next time out.  Way to go boys, And a big shout out to their wonderful instructor Barney Taylor. Our welding program is sure to become one of Adair County Schools shining stars.
