The Kentucky Center for School Safety (KCSS) is excited to announce that the theme for Kentucky Safe Schools Week is "Focus on School Safety", scheduled for September 8-12, 2025. This year's theme emphasizes the critical need for constant vigilance and proactive measures in maintaining secure learning environments across the Commonwealth.
This dedicated week aims to empower schools to strengthen their safety initiatives through targeted activities and discussions. The goal is to raise awareness about various aspects of school safety and empower students, teachers, parents, and the wider community to take proactive steps in creating a safe and nurturing learning environment for everyone.
KCSS would like to invite schools to take the pledge to "Focus on School Safety." District stats can be seen on the map and charts on the website.
We would like to encourage you to share this with your classes and allow them time to take the Safe Schools Pledge as appropriate. We would also like to encourage each of you to take the pledge to Focus on School Safety!
