On Tuesday, September 1st, Donna Grant, CDL Examiner and Bus Driver with the Adair County Schools Transportation Department, visited Adair County Head Start to provide an important lesson on bus safety.
Donna shared helpful information with the children about how to properly and safely ride a school bus, including safe behaviors while boarding, riding, and exiting the bus.
We appreciate Donna taking the time to help the young students learn the importance of staying safe around and on school buses!

We are incredibly proud to congratulate Mr. Jeff Cloyd on being named the 10th District Elementary Music Educator of the Year!
Mr. Cloyd is an integral part of the specialty team at Adair County Elementary School, and his impact on their students extends far beyond the music classroom. Under his leadership, the students have grown tremendously in their understanding and appreciation of music while having opportunities to perform, create, and discover their own musical talents.
Throughout the year, Mr. Cloyd leads several school-wide productions and special performances that have received tremendous praise from our families and community. From vocal and percussion ensembles to unforgettable performances with the ACES Staff Band, he has helped make music a meaningful part of the ACES experience!
His love for music doesn't stop when the school day ends. Mr. Cloyd is also active in community ensembles, provides private music lessons, and assists with productions through the Adair County High School drama program.
We are incredibly fortunate to have an educator who shares his talent, passion, and love of music with our students and our community.
Congratulations, Mr. Cloyd! This recognition is very well deserved, and we are proud of you!
